Project Power Aid traces its humble beginnings to October 2021, when it emerged as a beacon of hope in the heart of Ghana. It was born from the firsthand experiences of our founder, who, after navigating the healthcare landscapes of both Ghana and the United Kingdom, recognized a glaring disparity. The gap between healthcare provision in developed nations and the realities faced by communities in Ghana struck a chord deep within our founder's heart. This realization became the catalyst for action, igniting the flames of compassion that would fuel the birth of Project Power Aid.
At the core of Project Power Aid lies a driving force fuelled by compassion, empathy, and a fervent desire to make a tangible difference in the lives of others. Our leaders, Mariama Issifu and Frederick Kwarteng, were not content to simply witness the disparities in healthcare access; they were driven to confront them head-on. Motivated by a shared passion for healthcare equity and a profound sense of duty to their homeland, Mariama and Frederick embarked on a mission to bridge the gap between healthcare provision and accessibility in Ghana.
Driven by a vision of collaborative empowerment and shared expertise, Project Power Aid set out to transform the healthcare landscape of Ghana and, by extension, Africa at large. With a steadfast commitment to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 – ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all – Project Power Aid embarked on a journey of collective impact and sustainable change.
Our mission is simple yet profound: to improve the healthcare system in Ghana and Africa as a whole through the exchange of learning and shared expertise. With a focus on providing healthcare services to both healthcare settings and communities, Project Power Aid aims to empower individuals, strengthen healthcare infrastructure, and foster a culture of wellness and resilience.
As we continue to write the story of Project Power Aid's impact and empowerment, we invite you to stand alongside Mariama Issifu, Frederick Kwarteng, and the entire Project Power Aid team.
